Parking Instructions
Parking for people visiting the Hall of Justice is located on Allegan Street (across from the north side of the State Library, southeast of the Hall of Justice, and east of the Veteran's Memorial Park). When entering the lot, turn left into the unattended lot where pushing a button will produce a parking entry card. Once the card is in hand, proceed and park in any available spot. When leaving, find the PAY-ON-FOOT BOOTH (it resembles a bus stop) and insert the card into the machine charging the visitor the appropriate amount for the time parked (the rate is $.75/hour, with a daily maximum of $7.50,—it will accept nothing greater than a twenty dollar bill). After inserting money into the machine, the visitor will receive the "validated" parking entry card that must be inserted into the ticket reader at the exit. The gate will then lift. Please note that there is a camera inside the Pay-On-Foot Booth that is watched at all times by DMB Parking Office employees who are available for assistance by intercom if necessary.
