NOTE: This benchbook does not represent a wholesale revision of its content. Indexes and other special sections have not yet been updated and are not included.

This manual for judges and other interested court employees provides information about:

  • The Crime Victim's Rights Act and other statutes protecting crime victims
  • The safety, confidentiality, and other personal/psychological concerns of crime victims
  • Restitution and crime victim compensation from the Crime Victim Services Commission

The first edition of the Crime Victim Rights Manual was supported by Crime Victim Assistance Grant Award CVA #20725-1V98, awarded to the Michigan Judicial Institute by the Michigan Crime Victim Services Commission.
