Driving Direc+tions Security
The Hall of Justice is a court building with security procedures. All adult visitors must present a government-issued photo identification card and sign in to enter. Visitors must also pass through a metal detector and personal items are scanned.
No guns, knives, or other items that may be construed as weapons are allowed in the Hall of Justice. Inappropriate personal accessories (e.g. chains, dog collars) may be held at the security desk. Individuals or groups who disrupt tours or office functions will be asked to leave the building.

Where may we park?
For individual vehicles, the closest visitor parking lot is located east of the Hall of Justice, accessible from Allegan St . The parking fee is $.75/hour. Limited meter parking is also available. Buses must park in the Michigan Historical Center bus parking lot accessible from Butler St . What if we have special accessibility needs?
The Hall of Justice and Learning Center are wheelchair accessible. When making tour reservations, please inform the reservation coordinator of any other special needs. What are the supervision requirements for school groups?
Teachers and chaperones are responsible for their students' behavior. At least one teacher is expected to accompany each school group. Minimum chaperone requirements: 4th-8th grades must bring 1 adult for every 5 students; 9th-12th grades require 1 adult for every 10 students. Is the Learning Center experience aligned with Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) Standards and Strands?
The Learning Center gallery and tours have been designed to help teachers fulfill numerous standards, especially within the Social Studies Curriculum.
