1/7/10 The interest rate for money judgments effective January 1, 2010, including the statutory 1 percent, is 3.480 percent. For additional information and the history of interest rates, see: http://courts.michigan.gov/scao/resources/other/interest.pdf.  
  The mileage rate for service of process and civil witnesses is the premium rate approved by the Michigan Civil Service Commission. The Department of Management and Budget recently notified us that effective January 1, 2010, the premium mileage rate is reduced from 55.0 to 50.0 cents per mile.  
  SCAO Administrative Memorandum 2009-06: Reporting 2009 Trial Court Caseload Data to SCAO.
This memo outlines the steps each trial court must take in January and February of 2010 to submit and verify 2009 caseload data.

  MCL 257.724 was amended effective 12/14/09, to permit the driver or owner of a commercial motor vehicle to post a bond on overweight violations in the amount of the fines and costs when the ticket is being contested, rather than double that amount as previously required.
