Court Caseload

Trial courts submit (through MCAP) annual caseload reports as required by MCR 8.103(7) and MCR 8.110(C)(1). Part 1 of the Caseload Reporting System (CRS) includes reports of beginning pending caseload, new case filings, and reopened cases. Part 2 includes reports of cases disposed and cases made inactive. Part 4 includes pending case age and case age at disposition reports. Data collection instruments, instructions, technical assistance, and recent communications are available through MCAP to authorized users of CRS. Caseload reports are due by January 30 and verification is due by February 28. Statistical reports using caseload data are available on the web. For more information, contact Trial Court Services.

Delay in Criminal Proceedings

Circuit, district, and municipal judges submit through their chief judge quarterly delay in criminal proceedings reports as required by MCR 8.110(C)(5). Courts submit these reports through the Michigan Court Application Portal (MCAP). These reports are due January 7, April 7, July 7, and October 7. Court administrators who wish to designate another person as an authorized user for the Delay in Criminal Proceedings (DCP) system should do so through the User Maintenance application on MCAP. Deficiencies in Guardianship/Conservatorship Administration

(Formerly Delinquent Fiduciary Report)

Chief probate judges submit semiannual deficiencies in guardianship and conservatorship administration reports. See the January 3, 2007, memo for more information. These reports are due January 30 and July 30. For more information, contact the appropriate Regional Office.

Citizen Advisory Committee Reports

Citizen advisory committees submit three annual reports as required by MCL 552.504a(1)(d) and MCL 552.519(3)(d). These reports are due by January 15. For more information, contact Family Services. Use the:

Citizen Advisory Committee Grievance Record (form SCAO 28b), and
Citizen Advisory Committee Review of FOC Grievances (form SCAO 28c).

Friend of the Court Grievance Records

Friends of the court submit semiannual friend of the court grievance records as required by MCL 552.526 and MCL 552.519. These records are due January 15 and July 15 and are submitted in an excel file by e-mail and on paper. For more information, contact Family Services. Use the Grievance Record (form SCAO 28).

Friends of the court submit annual friend of the court statistical reports as required by MCL 552.528 and MCL 552.519. These records are submitted in an excel file by e-mail and on paper. Circuit, district, municipal, and probate courts submit (through MCAP) annual counsel appointment reports as required by MCR 8.123. This report is due by February 15. For more information, contact Trial Court Services.

Collections and Receivables

Circuit courts, family divisions of circuit courts, district courts, and municipal courts submit annual collections-related reports. These reports are due by July 15. For more information, contact Trial Court Services. Use the forms:
Outstanding Receivables Aging Report,
Payment/Adjustment Distribution of Assessments by Case Type and Payment/Adjustment Year, and
Summary Report of Outstanding Receivables by Cash Code and Case Type.

Drug and Drunk Driving Case Reimbursement

Circuit, district, and municipal courts submit (through MCAP) annual drug and drunk driving case reimbursement reports as required by MCL 257.323d and MCL 257.625h. These reports are due by March 31. Delay in Matters Submitted to Judge

Trial court judges submit quarterly reports of delay in matters submitted to judges as required by MCR 8.107. Judges submit these reports through the Michigan Court Application Portal (MCAP). These reports are due 7 days after the first business day of January, April, July, and October. Use this form to become a new authorized user for the Delay in Matters Submitted (DMS) system. Reporting materials are available below. Visiting and assigned judges should use the paper DMS report below, not MCAP. For more information, contact the appropriate regional office.
