MICHIGAN SUPREME COURT - Michigan Adoption Day 2004

Tuesday, November 23, 2004

November has been designated National Adoption Month. Hundreds of communities through the United States will celebrate Adoption Month with adoption ceremonies and other events. Here in Michigan, over 40 counties will participate in the second annual Michigan Adoption Day, co-sponsored by the Michigan Supreme Court and Family Independence Agency. Over 300 adoptions will be finalized that day, drawing attention to the adoption process and to the fact that thousands of foster children in Michigan need permanent homes.
