Michigan Hall of Justice |
Welcome to the Michigan Hall of Justice (HOJ). The Michigan Hall of Justice was designed and built to house the Michigan Judicial Branch of government. It's a space where the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and their respective support organizations have been brought together under one roof to serve the people of Michigan.
The Michigan Hall of Justice is a six-story building characterized by a dome in the center and gently sweeping curves that face on axis with the State Capitol. A building whose colonnades were designed as arms to reach out and invite citizens to approach the Hall of Justice. A building whose glass dome lets light into the judiciary. A building of limestone, granite and marble that symbolize the permanent things on which our constitutional republic is founded - Justice, Freedom and Self-government under the rule of law. The Michigan Hall of Justice's direct axial relationship to the State Capitol provides a formal bookend for the Capitol Mall.
