2.4Appeals from Michigan Civil Service Commission Decisions
MCR 7.117 governs circuit court appeals to the circuit court from the Michigan Civil Service Commission; they must comply with the requirements set forth in MCR 7.119.1 MCR 7.117(A)-(B). Unless provided otherwise in MCR 7.117, the rules set out in MCR 7.101—MCR 7.115 apply. MCR 7.117(A).2 The appeal “must name the commission as a party,” and the appellant “must serve the commission at the Office of the State Personnel Director in Lansing[.]” MCR 7.117(C).
