​Board of Review

 

The Court Reporting and Recording Board of Review, staffed by the State Court Administrative Office, establishes criteria for certification of court reporters and recorders and administers tests for certification of court reporters and recorders in accordance with Michigan Court Rule 8.108. The State Court Administrative Office provides an executive secretary for the board; is responsible for administering tests, maintaining certification lists, and enforcing sanctions for failure to conform to certification and other rules; and publishes guidelines for court reporters and recorders in a Manual for Court Reporters and Recorders.


The Board of Review's September​ meeting is open to the public.  If you would like to be put on the agenda or plan to attend, please contact Denice Purves at the number or e-mail address provided above.  


Beginning June 2020, all Board of Review meetings will be held remotely via Zoom until further notice.  If you wish to attend the September public meeting, information on how to access the Zoom meeting will be e-mailed to you upon request.
