​Problem-solving courts are innovative programs designed to address an offender's underlying problem.  Nearly all (97 percent) of Michigan's population live in a county with one or more problem-solving courts.

​Sobriety and Drug Court Recidivism Rates

​Sobriety and drug court programs are aimed at breaking the cycle of addiction and crime by intensive treatment and other services, with the threat of sanctions for noncompliance.  Recidivism rates measure how many participants reoffend in comparison to similar offenders who did not participate in these programs.
