MiFILE for the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals
On September 6, 2019, the Michigan Supreme Court and Court of Appeals transitioned from TrueFiling to MiFILE, the statewide e-filing system that is used by several state trial courts. You need to be aware of the following information and take the necessary steps so that you can use the MiFILE system for appellate court filings:
- Your TrueFiling user information cannot be imported into MiFILE so you will need to re-register at https://mifile.courts.michigan.gov. As of 9:00 a.m. on September 7, 2019, all e-filings must now be submitted through MiFILE.
- The TrueFiling site (https://www.truefiling.com) is no longer available for e-filing in the Supreme Court or Court of Appeals. However, you will still be able to access your filing history in TrueFiling for the next six months.
